How many days notice do I have to give Simply Dish if I want to sign up for a session?
Simply Dish will need to know at least three days in advance so that we can have all ingredients ready for your dishes. On occasion, we can accommodate last minute reservations depending on how busy we are.
How do I pay for my food at Simply Dish?
Payment is required in full by cash or check before you begin your session. We also accept: Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
How many spaces are available during each session?
Simply Dish has spaces available for 12 people during a session. Please let us know if you are bringing a friend, spouse or young helpers with you. Each person will count as one space.
Do I have to come with a group?
No, you do not have to come with a group. Individuals are welcome anytime. Many people have told us that it is fun to bring a friend with them for the socialization, but coming alone works well too.
How many meals do I have to make when I come to a session?
Three dishes are required to reserve a dishig session. (Effective August 2008) Feel free to make as many meals as you would like during your session.
How many servings are in a dish?
We offer full portion and half portion dishes. The full portions will serve 6-8 people and the half portions will serve 3-4 people. Of course, this depends on how small or big the appetites are of the people eating the meals and whether or not you are serving side dishes with the meal.
How can Simply Dish help me with single serving meals?
We suggest you bake a half portion meal, and divide the left over portions into microwave safe dishes. Refreeze or refrigerate the unused portions and simply reheat for additional meals. Or, for an additional pan charge, you can split your meals at Simply Dish.
How long will my meals take to thaw?
We recommend thawing your dishes in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours. If your dish is still frozen, allow for additional bake time. Remember that the contents are cold and the dish will take longer to heat than dishes you prepare at home. Please allow 40 – 60 minutes to heat your meals. To ensure even baking stir contents and uncover dish during the last 10 minutes.
How long can I refrigerate my frozen meals?
Meals can thaw in the refrigerator for up to three days. After this time, your meals should be baked. Eat leftover portions within two days. We suggest you have two meals thawing in your refrigerator at one time to cut down on planning time.
It is not necessary to freeze all of your meals you bring home from Simply Dish. Put your dish in the refrigerator if you need a quick dinner soon. Simply heat and eat your dish within two days.
How long can I freeze my meals?
We suggest you use your meals within 4 - 6 weeks to ensure that your meals will still have that fresh taste.
Can I split full portions into half portions during my session?
Yes, simply order two half portions of the dish you want to split. Simply Dish will charge the full portion price and a 1.00 pan charge. That is a $1.99 savings. If you forget to order accordingly or change your mind during your session, just let us know when you get to your session.
Do I need to bring my own dishes to put my meals in?
No. Simply Dish provides disposable aluminum pans and freezer storage bags for your convenience. Our pans are 100% recyclable.
Can my meals be adapted for vegetarians?
Yes, some meals can. Please let us know at the time of your order and we will tell you what options are available for you during your session.
What if I cannot make it to my session? Cancellations?
We start grocery shopping and food preparations a few days in advance. Please give Simply Dish three days notice if you have to cancel a reservation.
If you cannot make it to your session there are a couple options available. First, ask someone else (if you were to come with a group) to make your meals for you. Or, Simply Dish will put your meals together for a minimal charge. Just let us know.
Do I have to sign up for a session to get meals?
No. Simply Dish will make meals for you. There is no minimum order; however, there is a small charge. We will put your meals in our freezer until you pick them up. Let us know if you would like to keep any meals out of the freezer for use right away.
Does Simply Dish have meals already made?
Yes. We have a variety of frozen meals to select from on our Take Home Menu. Give us a call or stop by to find out what we have available. Call ahead and we will heat your meal for you!
Do your menus change monthly?
Yes. To give our customers a variety, we change selections each month. Menus are available in a printed form on our website, or stop by during kitchen hours for a printed copy. Your recipes are welcome anytime. We may select it to use in one of our future menus.
We have food allergies and strict diets in our family, do you have an ingredient list?
For this reason, Simply Dish has an ingredient list for you to look at. Just ask. We can adjust your meal to fit your needs.
Can my children come help me during my session?
Yes. Please let us know beforehand, so that we can count spaces needed on your reservation. We recommend that one adult be present for each child under the age of 12 that comes to help.
Can I order two of the same dish to make at my session?
Yes. You can order any combination of dishes as long as you meet the requirement of six dishes.
